On November 15, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. The stocking of food products into stabilisation funds in Belarus has been completed within the established deadlines. Lyubov Yazepchik, Head of the Department for Consumer Market of Food Products of the Ministry of Trade, informed a BelTA correspondent about this. For many items, the planned supplies of crop production have been exceeded by 25-38%. Thus, 106 thousand tons of potatoes have been procured, which is 38% more than planned. There will be no problems with the sale of cabbage: 53.6 thousand tons have been procured (135% of the plan). The targets set for stocking carrots and beetroot for winter storage have been significantly overfulfilled: 22.8 thousand tons and 18.3 thousand tons have been procured, respectively, which amounts to 125% and 124% of the plan. 22.1 thousand tons of onions and 17 thousand tons of fruits have also been supplied, which is 22% and 13% more than the established target. The plan for supplying livestock products for the 2011/2012 inter-season period has been fulfilled in full. 1.7 thousand tons of butter, 1.1 thousand tons of hard rennet cheese, 2160 tons of skimmed milk powder (procured only by organisations in Vitebsk and Minsk regions), 1103 tons of pork and 1013 tons of beef have been sent for storage. As noted in the Ministry of Trade, procurement organisations in the Vitebsk region have performed best in supplying crop production from the regions. For example, they overfulfilled the target for potato supply by 3 times, procuring 37 thousand tons, exactly one third of the volume procured in the republic. 21 thousand tons of cabbage have been supplied for winter storage in the region, which is 2.9 times more than planned. Supplies of carrots and beetroot have been increased by 3 times, onions by 2.6 times, and fruits by 1.9 times. The Vitebsk region does not always receive such high yields of potatoes and vegetables as this year, so the region took advantage of the situation and made larger reserves than in previous years. Minsk is fully provided with food resources. 30.3 thousand tons of potatoes (101% of the plan), 11.2 thousand tons of cabbage (100%), 8.1 thousand tons of carrots (101%), 5.2 thousand tons of beetroot (100%), 3.9 thousand tons of onions (102%), and 6.3 thousand tons of fruits (100%) have been procured here. In accordance with the procedure for creating stabilisation funds, regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee approve the maximum selling prices for potatoes and fruit and vegetable products for the period of their storage and sale annually by November 15. -0-
