The development of the concept for the law "On Electric Power Industry" has been completed in Belarus, as reported to journalists today by Aleksei Shirma, General Director of the RUE "Belenergo", as reported by a BELTA correspondent. According to the General Director, work on the concept of the law on electric power industry has been completed this year, and it is currently under consideration by the relevant authorities. Aleksei Shirma noted that Russia had previously adopted a similar law and restructured its energy system. "However, to ensure energy security, this issue must be approached comprehensively. To make decisions on what to do and in which direction to develop, everything needs to be carefully considered," said the General Director, adding that the country's energy system is currently capable of solving various tasks. Mikhail Mikhaduk, Deputy Minister of Energy, in turn, noted that the country's energy sector is actively working to attract foreign investment. "All significant projects, such as the construction of power units at Berezovskaya and Novolukomlskaya GRES, the creation of hydroelectric power stations, and the modernization of boiler houses, are being built with the involvement of foreign credit lines," explained the Deputy Minister.-0-
