A village meeting was held in the village of Bobrovo, Lepel District.

He acquainted the attendees with the fire statistics for the current year and stated that the number of fires in the residential sector increases during the winter period.

The main causes can be careless handling of fire, faulty stove heating, and violation of fire safety rules when operating domestic electric heating appliances. He provided examples of fires that occurred in the territory of the Bobrovsky village council. He recommended that the residents of the village install autonomous fire alarms and gave examples of people being rescued as a result of fire alarm activation. He also reminded those present about the rules for using primary fire extinguishing means.

Valentin Eduardovich focused in detail on the preparations for the New Year holidays. He informed the attendees about the measures that will help avoid emergencies during the festive days, and also warned about the dangers of going out onto water bodies during the winter period and the dangers of using pyrotechnic devices.

Special attention was paid to one of the most pressing issues today – ensuring children's safety during the winter school holidays. After all, one wrong step by a child, inattention, and carelessness of parents can turn into a tragedy. The rescuer urged adults not to leave children unattended under any circumstances, to monitor their leisure time, to be a role model, and to constantly remind them of the rules of safe behaviour at home and on the street.
