Open Day "Our Heritage"

As part of best practices for patriotic education in preschool institutions, Kindergarten No. 8 hosted an open day titled "Our Heritage" («Наша спадчына»).

Educators from other institutions participated in a folklore festival, watched a dramatization of the folk tale "Pykh" («Пых»), and explored the creative workshop of specialists "Skarbonki" («Скарбонки»).

Masters from the Centre of Crafts told the kindergarten pupils about the traditional crafts of our ancestors, about the sacred meaning of the rushnyk (embroidered towel) and belt. In addition, the children were offered a master class on making bracelets using the technique of twisted belt weaving.

Guests were also treated to a surprise – a tea party with the national dish "Verguny" («Вергуны»).
