19 September, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. 3% of voters in Belarus participated in the early voting for the parliamentary elections on 18 September, the Secretary of the Central Election Commission, Nikolai Lozovik, told a BELTA correspondent. The largest number of voters cast their ballots in the Mogilev region – 3.4% of their registered voters. In the Gomel and Vitebsk regions, the figure was 3.3% each. In the Minsk region, 2.6% of voters participated in early voting, in the Brest region – 2.5%, and in the Grodno region – 2.4%. In Minsk, voter turnout at polling stations on the first day of early voting was 3.2%. According to the Secretary of the CEC, Belarusian voters showed good activity, higher than in the 2008 parliamentary elections, when 2.7% of voters came to polling stations on the first day of early voting. Early voting began on 18 September and will continue until 22 September inclusive. Polling stations are open on these days from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. -0-
