These days, the Lepel Centre of Crafts has become a focal point for residents of the Lepel region, who are eager to participate in the "Stsyazhki Pieramohi" (Ribbons of Victory) campaign.

Today, the head of the district Mikhail Kiselevich, the Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Igor Urban, the First Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Alexander Yarokhnovich, and the Deputy Chairman Veronika Khombak visited the most colourful and traditional place in our town.

The district executive committee's active members listened with great interest and attention to the role of weaving in the lives of our ancestors, and then for a few minutes became masters of folk craft themselves.

The finished rushnyk with the inscription "Сцяжкі Перамогі" will be 1.5 meters in size. If the work is distributed according to the formula "1 stitch = 1 Lepel resident", it turns out that the number of participants in the event will reach 2000 people. The event will last until April 30.
