Focus on minibuses

From December 8 to 12, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct nationwide preventive measures aimed at improving the safety of passenger transportation by route minibuses.

The main goal is to prevent incidents involving such vehicles operating on regular intercity and suburban routes, as well as to prevent offenses committed by drivers and officials of carriers.

Traffic police patrols will pay increased attention to cases of operating faulty vehicles, the presence and condition of winter tires, identifying violations of maneuvering and overtaking rules, speeding, and running red lights.

Also under special control of the traffic police officers is the use of seat belts and the transportation of passengers in accordance with the number of seats.

Managers of business entities who have violated the established procedure for releasing drivers or sent technically faulty vehicles on the route will be brought to administrative responsibility.
