The main scenario for the XXX Belarusian Written Language Day celebration in Horadok has been approved at a meeting of the National Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the event. "The framework of the scenario is approved at the meeting of the organizing committee. There is a sufficiently broad package of proposals to be included in the scenario," she explained.
Organizers expect thousands of guests at the celebration in Horadok in early September. All locations are currently being prepared for the large-scale festival.
According to Irina Polyakova, one of the main locations will be the public garden, which will host the "Mara Gurmana" festival, the "Taras on Parnassus" celebration, and traditional readings. A book festival area, separate areas for youth, an Education Ministry area with historical reenactments, as well as interactive platforms and a printing exhibition will also be located there.
She stated that capital repairs are underway on five residential buildings in the town, and current repairs are being carried out on approximately 50 other facilities. Asphalt has already been laid on five streets. Work is ongoing, and procurement procedures are in progress. "Around Br900 thousand has been allocated for the improvement of the street and road network. As for educational facilities (we have two schools and three kindergartens), repair work is in the final stages. Over Br2 million has been allocated solely for the repair of educational institutions. Work has already been completed on the House of Crafts, the museum, the library, and the town's House of Culture. Significant work is also being carried out on our central district hospital: cosmetic repairs, facade repairs, and a mobile medical center has been purchased. A separate block of work is dedicated to tourist routes to attract visitors to our region," added the head of the district executive committee.
Funds for the preparation of facilities in Horadok for Written Language Day have been primarily allocated from the regional and local budgets.
The XXX Belarusian Written Language Day will be held in Horadok on September 2 and 3, 2023.
