The State Programme for Innovative Development of Belarus for 2016-2020 includes 34 new projects and six measures for the development of innovative infrastructure. The corresponding Decree No. 236 was signed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Among the new projects are the creation of modern production facilities for charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, the "Vertushka-2" target complex and the "Phoenix" unmanned aviation complex, LED lighting equipment, the organisation of production of innovative analytical and inspection complexes, dual-use and special-purpose optical-mechanical products, and the creation of a high-tech full-cycle agro-industrial production.

The Decree approves the use of funds from innovation funds to finance projects implemented by city-forming enterprises, such as OJSC "Orsha Tool Plant", OJSC "Belshina", OJSC "Brest Electric Lamp Plant", OJSC "Vityaz".

To enhance efforts in ensuring the digital transformation of the national economy, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization is included among the programme's customers.

The development of high-tech sectors is supplemented by the areas of "additive technologies", "instrument engineering, electronics industry and robotics", and "electric transport and its infrastructure".

The adoption of the document will promote innovative activities in industries and regions, the development of innovative infrastructure entities, and will allow for the allocation of necessary resources for the creation of new high-tech production facilities.
