The "Academy of Modern Technologies" at Vitebsk State Technological University (VSTU) will host an Open Day on September 28. Experienced teachers will conduct masterclasses and answer all questions of interest, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by Victoria Muricheva, Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Training and Career Guidance.
Children aged 10 to 14 will study at the university academy. The training includes experiments with robot construction kits, 3D printing, and programming in various languages. The program is specifically designed for children, taking into account the individual characteristics of each age group. The training duration is four years (nine months annually), with classes held on weekends from October to June.
Classes will be conducted by experienced VSTU teachers. Among the academy's specialisations are robotics, programming in Arduino and Python, 3D modelling, system administration, mechatronics, web programming, and Robotino (robot control fundamentals). "This year, new specialisations related to programming have been introduced. Robotics and mechatronics have been updated considering the needs of children and parents, taking into account the experience of previous classes," added Victoria Muricheva.
The "Academy of Modern Technologies" has been operating at the university since 2017. One of its objectives is to spark children's interest in IT and assist them in choosing their future profession.
