A Unified Information Day was held in the team of the Lepel District Gas Supply Department.

The meeting with the residents of Lepel was attended by Nikolay Latyshev, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Elena Prusskaya, Chief Specialist of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, as well as Vladislav Kuntsevich, Deputy General Director for Security, Regime and Personnel of the unitary enterprise "Vitebskoblgaz".

The topic for detailed discussion was: "The Five-Year Plan of Quality – Results of the Year of Improvement".

Addressing his fellow countrymen in his speech, Nikolay Latyshev recalled the areas where significant work had been carried out in Lepel District in recent years. The opening of a sports and recreation center with a swimming pool, the renovation of the city park, the repair of the street and road network, the major reconstruction of the village of Domzheritsy, and the improvement of the city and district – this five-year period will be remembered for these and many other achievements.

— The most important thing that every citizen of the country should understand is that no one will do this work for us. We cannot wait for someone to come and simply tidy up your adjacent territory. The culture of cleanliness and order begins with each family, with each home. Everyone is equally responsible for the beauty and prosperity of our country. It is also important to remember a simple truth: it is not clean where they clean, but where they do not litter, — reminded the Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee.

Vladislav Kuntsevich continued the theme of responsible and careful attitude towards one's land. The representative of UP "Vitebskoblgaz" noted:

— While the five-year plan of quality is just gaining momentum, and there is still much to be done in this direction, the Year of Improvement is coming to its logical conclusion. It was announced by the President with the aim of uniting the efforts of the state, society, and organizations of all forms of ownership to improve the quality of life, develop infrastructure, improve the environment, enhance the aesthetics of settlements, and bring order to the land. And it must be said that the residents of the northern region have managed to achieve a lot this year.

Vladislav Frantsevich also added that the result of all our activities depends on the people themselves, on how well-maintained the territories of our institutions, organizations, and enterprises are, and on how interested the residents are in maintaining order around their homes.
