High-quality diagnostics have become even more accessible for the residents of Lepel district. Today, a computer tomography room was solemnly opened at the healthcare institution "Lepel Central District Hospital". The acquisition of modern equipment was made possible through the financial support of the World Bank, as well as the budgets of the district, region, and republic.

The opening of the room was attended by local leaders, as well as invited guests – Dmitry Cherednichenko, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Derkach, Member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Igor Martynov, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

The computer tomography room is already awaiting its first patients. To operate the equipment, specialists from Lepel Central District Hospital underwent a 4-month training course at the Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.

As noted at the solemn opening of the room, the tomograph will enable the implementation of complex examinations in daily diagnostic practice, ensure the speed and accuracy of routine diagnostics in neurology, and expand the capabilities of preventive medicine. More details
