What is the beginning of a family? I believe it is love, respect, shared views, friendship, trust, and, of course, the tender babbling of the firstborn.

What is the beginning of a family? I believe it is love, respect, shared views, friendship, trust, and, of course, the tender babbling of the firstborn. The role of family in everyone's life is difficult to describe in words – it is confirmed by deeds. The residents of Lepel were able to see this for themselves by participating in the republican campaign dedicated to the International Day of Family, "My Family – My Country".

10 large families from the Lepel district demonstrated their unity through this deed by planting young tree saplings near the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Lepel. On the right side of the church, an alley of family thuja trees was created, and on the left – an alley of family apple trees. Trees, as a symbol of eternity and strength, became a testament to the priceless treasure called "Family".

The main initiator of the campaign in the Lepel region was the district trade union association, headed by Yuri Mily. The idea was supported by representatives of the local authorities, the Lepel Deanery, and members of public associations and organizations. Many large families from the district also responded with joy to the proposal to leave their mark on the city's history. For example, the Pshonko, Shishkov, Poltorak, Dolgikh, Orlov, Klavovich families, and others.

The campaign became not just an event, but a bright celebration that brought together many distinguished guests. Among them were Petr Gnutenko, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Youth Affairs, Religions and Nationalities, and Sergey Dogel, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association.

The International Day of Family in Lepel this year has perhaps reached such a scale for the first time. And although the event itself did not last even an hour, the residents of Lepel and guests of the city were charged with warm and heartfelt emotions for a long time. Children's laughter and smiles, bright thoughts and kind words, happy glances of adults, gifts – this is how the residents of Lepel celebrated the holiday. Love each other and cherish your families.
