A district pioneer solemn rally "BRPS – the format of your childhood", dedicated to Pioneer Friendship Day, and a solemn admission to the ranks of the PRPS NGO was held in Lepel.
Delegates from the district pioneer detachments, representatives of authorities and public organizations, veterans of the pioneer movement, and parents of students from various schools in the district gathered for the festive event.
The celebration began with aligning to the State Flag and performing the State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus.
About 300 children from different parts of our district solemnly read out the oath to love their Motherland, be kind, honest, and fair, and always follow the laws of the pioneers of Belarus. After that, pioneers of different years and guests of the event tied their red-and-green ties and gave words of encouragement.
At the pioneer celebration, 15 children also parted with their ties and received BRSM membership cards. In addition, 3 membership cards were presented to representatives of the working youth.
Honorary guests of the event addressed the children with congratulatory words. They recalled how they themselves were once pioneers, and wished the children to wear their ties with pride and be true patriots of their Motherland. For example, previously, many schoolchildren dedicated almost all their free time from studies to public work. They helped lagging classmates, mentored younger children, and cared for the elderly.
The first secretary of the district committee of the BRSM NGO, Daria Mazgo, addressed the newly admitted members of the youth union with words of congratulation.
The holiday was filled with warmth and a friendly atmosphere. And new challenges await the children, which will allow them to demonstrate reliability, endurance, courage, honesty, and fairness.

More than a hundred years ago, on May 19, the first boys and girls in the Soviet Union tied red ties and began to call themselves pioneers. The tradition of holding a solemn assembly for admission to the ranks of this organization has survived to this day.
