The subject of an important event, not only for the district but also for the Vitebsk region, is the summarization of results on work with citizens' appeals following personal receptions held on May 26 in all districts by members of the Council of the Republic.
The Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalya Kochanova, noted that this format is one of the most prompt forms of communication between the population and representatives of authorities.
In Vitebsk, where Natalya Ivanovna conducted the reception, about a third of the appeals concerned housing and communal services and landscaping, and all could have been resolved on the spot without escalating to a senator.
— These are not short-term problems; people have been going through various instances for years, and the problems remain unresolved. This should not happen. Time has chosen you; let's work in a way that is comfortable for people. You should be guided not by personal ambitions but by the interests of the people. The President of our country sets this task for us, and we must live up to it, — noted the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic.
During the meeting, the attention of those present was focused on the fact that the issue of working with citizens' appeals has never lost its relevance, and currently, it is even gaining even greater relevance because every person is now subjected to an information flow of not always truthful, and often false, information.
