Lepel is checking points for temporarily resettled population

  What to do in case of an emergency, where to go, where to stay, and who to expect help from? The answer to these questions can be found at the reception point for temporarily evacuated population. The organisation of the reception point’s work at the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 3 of Lepel" was assessed during planned exercises.

  First and foremost, during the event, the readiness of the reception point to accommodate the temporarily evacuated population was checked, as well as the acquisition and improvement of practical skills by the management and staff of the reception point in accordance with their functional responsibilities.

  The reception and accommodation zone, the rest room, the mother and child room, the medical point, the dining room, and the psychological support room – these and other "islands" of the reception point were analysed during the specialists' visit. It should be noted that the training exercises were attended by Veronika Khombak, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, who also chairs the evacuation commission at the District Executive Committee. Representatives of the district emergency situations department ensured the coordination of the exercises.

  At the end of the event, the results of the training were summarised, an analysis of the organisation and execution of the measures provided for in the training plan was carried out, and the degree of preparedness of the administration of the reception points for temporarily evacuated population was assessed.

  — Any training allows us to gain experience, establish interaction with interested services, and for managers to learn how to manage their resources in eliminating emergency situations and their consequences. The tasks assigned to the Ministry of Emergency Situations are not cancelled – we will perform them at any time and in any weather. At the same time, every citizen of the country must know and understand how to act in a particular emergency situation, — summarised Ivan Maskalkov, Head of the Lepel District Department of Emergency Situations.
