At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Chairperson of the Council, Oksana Tereshkova, addressed the attendees.
Focus of the Business Discussion
The main issues of the meeting concerned the conditions for developing entrepreneurial activity in the district, current problems of business operations, and also discussed further avenues for cooperation between individual entrepreneurs, the tax inspectorate, banks, and local authorities.
The topic of unused real estate objects was also touched upon. Oksana Anatolyevna noted that the District Executive Committee annually forms a calendar schedule for the involvement of unused state property owned by the Lepel District into economic circulation, which defines the specific method of its involvement. Maria Kisina, Head of the Retail and Corporate Business Sector of the Banking Services Centre 211 of JSC ASB Belarusbank, spoke about the types and conditions of lending. She explained that settlement and cash services for business entities are carried out at JSC ASB Belarusbank, as a rule, within the framework of package services. Since October, a service has been available for opening accounts for individual entrepreneurs who are residents of Belarus through the Interbank Identification System. The bank also offers the possibility of online reservation of a new account.
Natalia Pshenko, Chief Specialist of the Small and Medium Business Department of Banking Services Center No. 219 in Lepel, Regional Directorate for Vitebsk Region of Belgropprombank OJSC, introduced the new financial product. Belgropprombank, together with the Development Bank, has launched a new credit product – "Promkooperatsiya". The interest rate is 7.5 percent per annum for businesses that produce and sell their products to large organizations.
The chief specialist also spoke about products for those who are just taking their first steps in business. Thus, specifically for novice entrepreneurs, the bank offers financial support in the form of credit products "MMB-Startup-Invest" and "MMB-Startup-Oborot". These products allow starting a business from scratch, purchasing necessary equipment, and financing the current activities of a newly established enterprise.
Taxes Without Errors
Elena Tomashevich, Deputy Head of the Inspectorate – Head of the Control Work Department of the Ministry of Taxes and Levies, reminded about the amendments and additions to the Tax Code, which came into force this year for individuals who are payers of a single tax and professional income tax, persons engaged in craft activities and agro-ecotourism, individual entrepreneurs, and heads of private commercial organizations.
She also reminded that from this year, any legal entity or individual entrepreneur engaged in retail trade must use a cash register.
At the end of the event, Sergey Demko, Director of the limited liability company "Master-SHIK" and Deputy Chairman of the Council, noted that holding such meetings is a good opportunity to discuss existing issues and determine ways to resolve them.
