The joint project of Belinvestbank and the Ministry of Health "Health to Every Region" has been completed. The last city whose central district hospital purchased a modern diagnostic system Sonoscape HD-500 was Lepel.
Approximately 120 examinations of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum will be performed on such a device per month. Two specialists provide planned and emergency care. For the district's population, which is over 30,000 people, the device will provide an opportunity to quickly receive the necessary medical care on-site, in their district.
– The device has extensive capabilities – examination of the upper digestive tract, diagnosis of diseases, including oncological ones, stopping bleeding, removing foreign bodies. In addition to the endoscopic room, thanks to its maneuverability, we also use this equipment in the
resuscitation department – we perform medical procedures, as well as clarify the patient's diagnosis, – said the chief physician of the Lepel Central District Hospital, Alexey Prokofiev. – It is no secret that such examinations are necessary, but not pleasant. One needs to prepare for them and be mentally ready. The speed of the procedure often depends on this. So, new equipment
always has a positive effect on the patient as well. There is more trust in modern devices, and, accordingly, the person's psychological state also improves.
The new device proved to be no less useful for doctors. It is simple to use, convenient, has excellent screen resolution, and allows recording of the procedure. If additional consultations and conclusions from specialists are needed, it is enough to send them the file.
It can be confidently stated that the goal of the "Health to Every Region" project has been achieved – the material and technical base of healthcare institutions in small towns of the country has been improved, and the quality of services provided to the population has been increased. Belarusian rubles were received by hospitals in every region of the country.
– We started implementing this project in 2023 and are completing it symbolically in the Year
of Quality. New endoscopic equipment has been acquired by six towns with a population of up to 50,000 people – in Myadel, Ivanovo, Lelchitsy,
Novogrudok, Shklov, and Lepel. We visited each hospital, talked to the doctors
and were once again convinced of how important business support is for the social
sphere. New modern equipment allows the population in the regions to receive
timely medical care, and simplifies the work for doctors, – noted
Roman Tomkovich, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC "Belinvestbank". – I want to note that the project has become significant for the bank itself. We received a huge
positive response from employees and shareholders. The main question everyone
asks is whether there will be a continuation. I am confident that the "Health to Every
Region – 2024" project will also bring considerable benefits. We have already started negotiations with the
Ministry of Health on the implementation of its next phase.
We remind you that the Agreement on the implementation of the "Health to Every Region" project was
signed in July 2023 between the Ministry of Health and
Belinvestbank. Support for healthcare organizations is one of the key
directions of the financial institution's corporate social responsibility,
as well as an important component of the bank's ESG agenda. Within this activity
in 2021-2022, the bank purchased and gratuitously transferred 10 artificial
lung ventilators, six of which were part of the "Breathe" project.

The Lepel Central District Hospital is a multidisciplinary
medical and preventive institution that holds leading positions,
serving residents not only of our district but also of neighboring ones. It is equipped with
high-tech equipment, and surgeons perform operations that are within the capabilities of medics from regional medical centers.
Last year, the admission department reopened here after renovation, where
super-precise new diagnostic equipment was installed. This includes a computed
tomography scanner with high resolution, ultrasound machines, gastroscopes, an operating table with a wide range of functions… In the procedure room, test results are obtained promptly. On average, 30 patients are seen in the admission department daily.
This is a gift not only for the staff of the central district hospital but also for
to all residents of Lepel region. After all, the funds invested in the healthcare system are aimed at strengthening the health of the population, which is the most important condition for the development of society, a factor of well-being, success and sustainable development of the country.
