In the Lepel forestry, the collection of forest seeds is in full swing!

We have been informed that by early 2025–2026, 5 tonnes of common pine and spruce cones have already been collected.

Before the start of spring, it is necessary not only to harvest cones of coniferous species but also to extract high-quality seeds from them.

Cones are transported from the forest to the nursery, where a cone dryer is equipped. The work of each forestry unit in cone harvesting is under the constant control of the forest enterprise management. Currently, the cone dryer is operating continuously at full capacity. All this allows us to confidently state that the task of harvesting pine seeds will be completed.

The obtained seeds will be used within our own enterprise. For the spring of 2026, the creation of over 260 hectares of new forests is planned in the forestry units of the Lepel Forest Enterprise, of which 130 hectares will be planted with selected planting material.
