As of 03.06.2021, 1806 residents of the district have been vaccinated, which is 5.6% of the total population.

The most active vaccination group is the population aged 61 and older.

Two vaccines are used for vaccination against coronavirus infection. These are the Russian-produced vaccine "Gam-COVID-Vac", more commonly known by its commercial name "Sputnik V", and the vaccine produced by the People's Republic of China, SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine (Vero Cell), Inactivated, developed by the Beijing company Sinopharm. Both of these vaccines have proven their safety, with no serious side effects reported.

Currently, healthcare facilities have a sufficient supply of the VeroCell vaccine, which is supplied to over 40 countries worldwide. Its efficacy is 86% (confirmed by partners already using it and preliminary studies by Belarusian scientists), and it is 100% effective in preventing severe cases. This vaccine is recommended for individuals with a history of allergic reactions and for the elderly. As this vaccine contains an inactivated virus, it can be transported and stored at temperatures between 2-8 degrees Celsius, which is an advantage.

To ensure the protection of the population from coronavirus infection, 60% of the population needs to be vaccinated.

Therefore, we invite all interested individuals for vaccination at the healthcare facilities of Lepel District.
