From August 25 to September 5, Belarus will host the "Attention – Children!" campaign. The aim of the event is to prevent road traffic accidents involving children.
During the campaign, drivers must switch on their low beam headlights or daytime running lights when operating a vehicle. Failure to comply with these requirements is punishable by a fine of up to 3 basic units. Transporting children without a restraint system incurs a fine of up to 4 basic units.
Dear parents, when transporting children, please remember to use car seats and seat belts. Remind them more often about the dangers of suddenly appearing on the roadway, the rules for crossing it safely, including the inadmissibility of using mobile phones and headphones at that moment. Explain how to behave correctly at bus stops and on public transport. Explain the meaning of road signs and draw attention to traffic light operation. And, of course, back up your words with your own example!
