In the Lepel district, a series of congratulations to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, former prisoners of concentration camps, and other participants of those historical events has begun.

Among the first to receive congratulations were concentration camp prisoners – Stefanida Matyukevich and Adelia Tarasevich.

  The district head Mikhail Kiselevich, the head of the Ideological Work and Youth Affairs Department of the District Executive Committee Svetlana Shevelyova, the military commissar of Lepel and Ushachi districts Yury Oleshkouski, as well as the trade union leader of Lepel region Yury Mily, arrived to congratulate the district residents on the upcoming holiday and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. Stefanida Nikolaevna and Adelia Antonovna were presented with congratulatory cards from the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, jubilee medals "80 Years of the Liberation of Belarus from the Nazi Invaders", as well as gifts.

  Such visits to war participants will be continued; a total of 13 cards from the Head of State will be delivered.
