From May 15 to June 1, a preventive campaign "Do Not Leave Children Unattended!" will be launched in Lepel District, as well as in all regional and district centres, timed to coincide with Children's Day.
With the aim of drawing attention to the problem of children playing with fire and child fatalities in fires, reducing the number of emergencies involving children, and ensuring their overall safety (at home, outdoors, during recreation, near water bodies, etc.), a preventive campaign "Do Not Leave Children Unattended!" will be launched in Lepel District, as well as in all regional and district centres, from May 15 to June 1, timed to coincide with Children's Day.
The campaign will take place in crowded places where parents relax with their children. "Photo zones" and "Let's Learn Safety Rules Together" play areas will be organised, where parents and children can participate in contests, quizzes, and games.
In healthcare facilities (healthy child clinics, antenatal clinics, maternity schools), rescuers will conduct sessions with young mothers.
Parent-teacher meetings with the participation of Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) staff will be held in educational institutions on the topic "Preventing Childhood Injuries – Teaching Children Safety Rules!".
Preventive events will also be held in large families, family-type children's homes, and families under state protection (SOP).
The campaign will conclude on June 1, International Children's Day, which is traditionally organised in Freedom Square in the town of Lepel. The event will feature thematic contests, games, concert programmes, and creative performances, as well as educational and play areas, and demonstrations of rescue equipment and machinery.
Rescuers invite all parents to take care of their children's safety and participate in the campaign! Follow the progress of the campaign events in our region on the Vitebsk Regional Department page of the MES of Belarus website 112.by and in the official VKontakte group of the MES of Vitebsk Region.
