“Careless handling of fire while smoking” – this is the wording most often found in the operational reports of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES). And this problem, despite the large-scale preventive work carried out by rescuers, is unfortunately still relevant.

From November 4 to 27, the republican campaign "Don't Burn Your Life Out!" will be held in the Lepel district. Its goal is to prevent fires due to careless handling of fire while smoking. Thematic events will be held in work collectives, dormitories, educational institutions, railway stations and bus stations, and retail outlets. MES employees will conduct interactive discussions with video screenings about the consequences of careless handling of fire while smoking, various master classes, quizzes, and competitions, where everyone can consolidate their knowledge in life safety.

Participate in the campaign, because you can never be too safe!

Rescuers strongly urge the residents of the district: be careful when handling fire, do not allow smoking in residential areas. Install a smoke detector in your home. It will alert you to a developing fire with a loud audible signal and save your life. If you cannot give up this harmful habit, be responsible in choosing a place to smoke and extinguishing cigarette butts. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
