To enhance public safety, intensify fire prevention activities, analyse their effectiveness, and assess the readiness of territories for the autumn-winter fire hazardous period, a nationwide campaign "For Safety Together" is being held from April 12 to April 28, 2021, aimed at preventing fires and loss of life from them in the housing stock.
To enhance public safety, intensify fire prevention activities, analyse their effectiveness, and assess the readiness of territories for the autumn-winter fire hazardous period, a nationwide campaign "For Safety Together" is being held from April 12 to April 28, 2021, aimed at preventing fires and loss of life from them in the housing stock.
The campaign's objective is to reduce the number of fires caused by citizens' non-compliance with fire safety regulations in residential buildings and structures, settlements, and territories; to increase public awareness of the capabilities of state organisations in providing fire safety services; to strengthen law and order; and to prevent offences committed by citizens under the influence of alcohol.
The main tasks of the campaign include: informing the public about the state of fire safety; explaining to citizens the consequences of non-compliance with fire safety regulations, leaving children unattended, and alcohol abuse; assisting local executive and administrative bodies and other organisations in training citizens in fire safety measures in everyday life and at work; assisting voluntary fire brigades in organising fire prevention activities; and drawing the attention of local executive and administrative bodies to the need for regular and targeted work to ensure fire safety in their respective territories, including improving the fire protection level of homes and apartments of lonely elderly citizens and disabled persons.
Every resident of the district can contact the district department for emergency situations to have their dwelling inspected for compliance with fire safety regulations and receive recommendations from rescuers.
