On the first day of vaccination, 65 people expressed their desire to be vaccinated. This year, free flu vaccination can be obtained with the three-component vaccine "Grippol Plus" (manufactured in the Russian Federation).
— This vaccine is registered and approved for use in the Republic of Belarus. It contains the current strains of the virus recommended by the WHO for inclusion in seasonal flu vaccines for use in the 2025-2026 season in the Northern Hemisphere, — noted Natalia Pobortseva, epidemiologist of the Lepel District Centre for Hygiene and Epidemiology.
In total, in anticipation of the epidemic season, it is planned to vaccinate 5419 people, which is 18.15 percent of the population.
Vaccination, as protection against complications after influenza, is very important for risk groups – children and adults with chronic diseases and immunodeficiency states, persons over 65 years of age, pregnant women, medical and pharmaceutical workers, children and adults residing in institutions with round-the-clock stay, etc. Vaccination is also important for employees in education, trade, public catering, utilities, transport sectors, children attending organised children's groups, and others.
Along with the flu vaccination, one can also receive vaccination against coronavirus infection, which is primarily recommended for individuals aged 18 years and older with immunodeficiencies, including HIV infection, autoimmune diseases, oncological and oncohematological diseases), individuals over 60 years of age, and individuals residing and working in institutions with round-the-clock stay.
Anyone can receive vaccination against influenza and coronavirus infection upon request.
