At the Lepel District Executive Committee, specialists met at a session of the commission for juvenile affairs.

The commission members included representatives of all interested prevention entities. The agenda of the meeting included issues related to administrative materials and materials concerning the situation in families from which children have been taken.

– The purpose of today's meeting is to inform children and their legal representatives about the unlawful nature of the committed acts and their legal consequences, – noted Veronika Khombak, Chairperson of the Commission for Minors' Affairs of the Lepel District Executive Committee. – By examining the situation in families where minors are recognised as needing state protection, the commission coordinates the actions of prevention entities. All this is done to eliminate an unfavourable, dangerous situation for children and to restore the family, – Veronika Alexandrovna commented.

The commission members reviewed approximately 15 reports, including those concerning students of the agricultural technical college who were skipping classes and engaging in misconduct. – Skipping classes is another problem we face. I would like to remind you that one of the criteria for a socially dangerous situation is the failure of parents to meet the basic needs of a child, in particular, creating obstacles for the child to receive compulsory general secondary education, for their overall development and adaptation in society, as well as allowing possible negative external influences on the teenager, – Veronika Alexandrovna concluded.
