The meeting reviewed materials concerning citizens who are under preventive observation at the Department of Internal Affairs. Of concern are their inherent detrimental and harmful habits, which negatively impact their lives and future, as well as the well-being and safety of their relatives, loved ones, and neighbours.

Special attention was paid to the consideration of issues related to the prevention of domestic violence and to carrying out preventive work with individuals who perpetrate violence within families.

Oleg Avtukh, Head of the Public Order and Prevention Department of the Lepel Department of Internal Affairs, informed those present about the responsibility stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus for domestic violence.

Preventive discussions were held with all citizens summoned to the meeting of the Preventive Measures Committee.

The organization of sports, mass, and leisure activities for the population of Lepel District as a means of crime prevention was also discussed.
