Given the challenging weather conditions, there have been a considerable number of calls to medical professionals.

As we were informed by the healthcare institution, since December 25, 2025, Lepel Central District Hospital has recorded 23 cases of ice-related injuries. In 5 of these cases, the injuries were sustained by children.

Incidentally, 2 injuries resulted from tubing. Fortunately, these were only bruises.

Lepel Central District Hospital also received patients diagnosed with "General Hypothermia". 1 woman was hospitalised.

Medical staff also recorded cases of frostbite. There were 7 such cases during this period.
