This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Viktor Mikhailovsky, acting General Director - Chief Engineer of RUP "Vitebskenergo". According to him, a promising location in this district of the Vitebsk region is near the village of Gorshevo. A contract for conducting the research has been concluded with Belhydromet. Currently, the installation of a 70-meter mast is already underway here, which is planned to be commissioned at the end of November. Then, for a year, wind loads will be determined and other measurements will be carried out using it. As a result of the research, the feasibility of building a wind turbine at this location and its capacity will be determined. "The possibility of using renewable energy sources, including wind energy, is one of the most important issues for us today, as the future lies with them. Therefore, it is imperative to conduct such research," emphasized Viktor Mikhailovsky.
