– The issues of drinking water quality have been and remain relevant, as they concern the most important thing – people's health. The opening of a socially significant facility is an important event for the residents of Liozno District, – noted Vladimir Terentyev. – Previously, 8 iron removal stations were commissioned in the district, and this work will be continued. In the current year, we set the task to complete the construction of iron removal stations in all regions, so that clean water is supplied to consumers without accidents.

Oleg Zhingel, member of the Council of the Republic, head of the regional directorate for Vitebsk region of OJSC "Belagroprombank", emphasized that citizens' appeals do not go unnoticed. Problems should not be created, but solved quickly and efficiently. After all, there is nothing more important than a person.

Representatives of regional and district organizations, district authorities, and the public also took part in the event.

For many years, multi-apartment housing development has been actively developing in Liozno, which creates a certain load on water supply facilities, including iron removal stations. As a result, during peak hours, water in the network was supplied with minor deviations from sanitary standards, particularly in terms of turbidity and iron content. To solve the pressing problem, the district administration decided to build a second water intake, including an iron removal station and clean water reservoirs with the possibility of connecting the water supply system of the settlement of Zubki to them.

Project and estimate documentation was developed last year. And now the facility has been commissioned. Currently, the first start-up complex has been implemented, including two artesian wells, a water treatment station with a capacity of 40 m/h, two clean water reservoirs, as well as the construction and replacement of water pipeline sections on Dobromysl'skaya and Chkalov streets.

The second start-up complex will be implemented in the first half of the current year, within the framework of which work on the construction of water pipelines on Marii Oktyabr'skoy, Stroiteli, Stantsionnaya, Uglovskogo, Dubovko, 1st Kommunal'naya, Gagarina, Krasnoarmeyskaya, Lenina streets, Pionerskiy lane, with the connection of water pipelines of the settlement of Zubki will be completed.
