In March 2025, a grim discovery shocked the public: the remains of victims of the Great Patriotic War were found near Lepel, close to the M3 highway.

Three burial pits are evidence of the atrocities committed by the fascists on our land, the genocide of the Belarusian people. The remains of more than 300 people, including women and children, were exhumed during the excavations.
