On October 31, Minsk /Andrei Asfura - BELTA/. The Miory District Executive Committee is offering an investor the opportunity to implement a project for the improvement of the waterfall on the Vyata River and the creation of an attractive recreation area for local residents and tourists. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by Vladimir Yankovenko, Head of the Marketing Department of the Tourist Information Center of the National Tourism Agency. A basic project has already been developed. The investor is offered to invest Br1.6 billion in the arrangement of the waterfall and the repair of the road leading to it. It is also planned to create conditions for recreation, equip parking for cars and buses, create a small beach, equip a campsite and fire pits, and install accommodation and catering facilities. The payback period for the project is five years. At the beginning of the 20th century, a cardboard factory was located near the waterfall, which used local aspen as raw material. Thanks to the waterfall, a local power station operated in the area, supplying electricity to nearby settlements and the town of Miory. However, in the 1960s, the natural environment began to deteriorate. "And today, the waterfall, which is not only loved by the residents of the district but also by its guests, awaits those who can revive its history, improve the territory of the waterfall, and restore the original beauty of this charming corner of nature," emphasized Vladimir Yankovenko. -0-
