"Drivers in hot weather should drink plenty of water and constantly monitor their well-being. At the first signs of malaise or drowsiness, you should stop in the shade, rest, and wash your face with cool water. People with chronic diseases are advised to refrain from travelling; if this is not possible, take necessary medications with you. Under no circumstances should you leave children or animals alone in the car, even for a short period," the department warned.
Furthermore, during thunderstorms, do not park near trees, power lines, or structures with high windage. When driving in open areas, keep the steering wheel with both hands and be prepared for sudden side gusts of wind.
When driving in the rain, it is recommended to maintain a safe speed, increase the distance and side clearance, and turn on the low beam headlights. Avoid unnecessary manoeuvres, sudden acceleration, braking, and steering movements. In heavy downpours, do not leave your car in low-lying areas due to the risk of flooding.
