Warm words were addressed to four women whose babies were born on the significant date of January 15, by Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, and Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee.

– This is a celebration not only for the family but also for all of us, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov. – It is truly wonderful that on such a day – the 85th anniversary of the Vitebsk region – 20 babies were born in the Vitebsk region. They are the ones who will bring glory to our region for the next 85 years. We sincerely hope that the children will grow up to be strong, healthy, robust, and skilled individuals. At the beginning of their life journey, we are very pleased to present them with gifts. And throughout their lives, they will feel support, as we have a socially-oriented state, and a great deal is being done to support families: both those having their first child and large families. The list of preferences is extensive, and I believe that our young people should not be afraid to have and raise a child, but rather feel very secure, as they are under the protection of the state. The regions will support our initiative, and all mothers who give birth on the festive day for the Vitebsk region will receive gifts.

On this day, congratulations were received by Svetlana Yaskevich, Tatyana Tsalko, Natalya Krasovskaya, and Ksenia Sovostyanova.
As Elena Leonovich, Chief Physician of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Maternity Hospital, informed a correspondent of "VV", four children were born at the institution on January 15: 3 girls and one boy. It is symbolic that their parents represent different parts of the Vitebsk region – Bogushevsk, Novopolotsk, Postavy, and Senno. In total, 20 children were born in the Vitebsk region on this day – 7 boys and 13 girls.
