During the active period of spring field work, road traffic safety and the prevention of accidents involving agricultural transport become particularly relevant.

In this regard, from April 1 to April 10, 2024, representatives of the State Technical Supervision Department "Gostekhnadzor" for the Vitebsk region and the Department of Public Traffic Safety of the Internal Affairs Department of Lepel District Executive Committee will conduct the "Attention! Self-propelled machines and tractors!" campaign.

During the campaign, special attention will be paid to the direct compliance by drivers and machine operators of agricultural organizations in the district with traffic rules, control over the technical condition of agricultural machinery before it is put into operation (operability of external lighting devices, orange flashing beacons, reflective elements, and operability of mounted equipment), as well as the timeliness and completeness of the state technical inspection of the machinery.

In addition, the State Automobile Inspectorate will strengthen control over the availability of documents confirming the admission to road traffic of other vehicles planned for use during the sowing campaign.
