The Grand Prix of the competition in the "Animation" nomination was awarded to the children's creative studio "Star Factory" from Minsk for the film "Grandma's Garden". In the "Documentary Film" nomination, Alexey Averuk from Grodno won with the film "Good Old Harpsichord". The best fictional staged film was "Nameless" by the KONI crew studio from Minsk. Diplomas of I, II, and III degrees were awarded to the authors of the best works in the nominations "Advertising", "Social Video", "Essay", "Thematic Program", "Music Video", "The World Began from Polotsk...". The latter was introduced this year in honor of the city's centuries-old history. The Audience Award was shared by six contestants.
This year, the Yuri Tarich amateur film competition was held for the fourth time, and for the first time – in the status of a republican competition. 96 participants (22 professionals, 43 amateurs, the rest are studios) aged 14 to 66 from Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, and Germany competed for victory. They submitted 66 documentary films, 54 fictional films, 9 animations, 14 music videos, 12 commercials, and 20 social videos, 8 thematic programs, and 5 essays for the audience and professional jury.
In addition, this year the forum had six subsidiary competitions: "We All Come from Childhood" (among preschool educational institutions), "The Big Change" (among students in grades 1-7), "We are Young, the Hope of the Country" (among students in grades 8-11), "SmartSTUDIO" (among students of secondary vocational and vocational-technical educational institutions), "In the Spotlight – a Person" (among rural executive committees), "In the Spotlight – an Enterprise" (among employees of enterprises and institutions). Almost 70 enterprises and institutions of Polotsk and Polotsk District participated in them, submitting 124 works.
The organizers of the competition were the Ministry of Culture, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Polotsk District Executive Committee, the National Film Studio "Belarusfilm", and the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
