An online vote is being held on the website of the Polotsk Central City Hospital using a five-point scale. Residents of the city and district can choose from 32 candidates selected through internal voting within their respective teams. These include paediatricians, obstetrician-gynaecologists, surgeons, neurologists, and emergency doctors. Furthermore, people have the opportunity to nominate their own candidate for the title of best doctor and vote for them.
The results of the vote will be announced on December 15.
"The culture and quality of service are inextricably linked: any person, as a patient, expects not only dry recommendations and prescriptions but also attention, courtesy, and empathy from the doctor. This aspect is one of the components of successful treatment," is Oleg Borisov's firm belief. This aspect is also related to enhancing the prestige of the profession, which is why the Polotsk Central City Hospital regularly conducts other surveys of the population regarding the quality and accessibility of medical care, the population's needs for services provided by the healthcare institution, and so on, with the aim of improving medical services.
Public opinion polls are conducted on the hospital's website, which has a sufficiently high attendance rate, allowing for an objective picture of the data. This is largely due to the ability to book appointments with specialists through the Central City Hospital's online resource, added the deputy chief physician.
