The enterprise employs 143 people, including 60 bus drivers and 7 truck drivers. There are 56 suburban routes, 9 urban routes, and 4 intercity routes in operation.
The main objective of the enterprise has been and remains unchanged – to provide transport links in the city and district, as well as to meet the social standard for passenger transportation by bus on regular routes. In simple terms, to ensure that people have the opportunity to reach any point in our district at the designated time.
As we were told at the enterprise, bus routes No. 2, No. 3, and No. 5 are the most popular among the city residents. However, the number of passengers on city buses depends on the season and weather. In winter, late autumn, and early spring, when it is still cold outside, more people use their services. But in late spring, summer, and early autumn, many Lepel residents prefer to get to work by bicycle or on foot.
Passenger traffic also depends on the time of day: during peak hours, when people are commuting to and from work, there are noticeably more passengers on buses than during the day. Recently, the enterprise's vehicle fleet was replenished with a new bus. This is the second "newcomer" this year. The bus will operate on city route No. 5.
The MAZ-203 is a comfortable, low-floor, new-generation city bus designed specifically for urban environments. It confidently handles tasks on the most challenging and lengthy city routes thanks to its state-of-the-art control systems. At the same time, the bus is environmentally friendly and provides a high level of comfort for passengers, including those with limited mobility.
The seats are soft and velour. The exterior appearance is attractive, not to mention the interior. For wheelchair users, a ramp folds down, and there is a special platform and handrails. A stroller can also be placed here. The bus is equipped with video surveillance.
The enterprise management has assigned the new vehicle to driver Leonid Solodkin, who has been working at the enterprise for 12 years, and the man's total driving experience is 46 years. During this time, he has transported thousands of passengers. Many residents greet and welcome him as a close, familiar person.
For several years, our hero worked on suburban routes, and for about 10 years now, he has been operating on city routes. The routes have varied, but he still calmly and confidently drives his bus on any of them, and remains just as polite with passengers.
Our hero hails from the Gomel region, but by the will of fate, he became a resident of our district:On the last Sunday of October, employees of the road transport sector, including the "Road Transport Enterprise No. 14" branch of OJSC "Vitebskoblavtotrans", celebrate their professional holiday annually.

— My wife is from the village of Susha in the Lepel district. It so happened that we settled here, — says the man. — During my work, I have come to know Lepel region well, and it has already become like home.
According to the director of ATP No. 14, Mikhail Kazimirchik, Leonid Alekseevich always performs his duties conscientiously and responsibly, has extensive travel experience, and treats the vehicles with care.
He is one of the most experienced drivers, a very diligent and conscientious worker, a specialist in his field. Passengers treat him with great respect.
— Many boys probably dreamed of becoming bus drivers, as I once did; it's not difficult to become one. It's harder not to give in to momentary weaknesses and not to become disillusioned with your profession, — shares Leonid Alekseevich. — I, for example, have never had a thought of changing my line of work, — the man shares.
Our hero admits that he loves his passengers. He treats children with particular tenderness. He does everything to ensure that passengers are safe during the journey. If he notices someone is late and running towards the bus, he will definitely wait for them to board the transport safely. He always makes sure that the bus is clean and tidy before each trip.
Colleagues also treat Leonid Solodkin with respect, and he is ready to offer them assistance – both in word and deed.
— I always wanted to work with people – and that's what happened. As for having to get up early, that's not a problem. I leave home at 5 AM and return at 8:30 PM. I see all the sunrises and sunsets on the road. I don't like being late, so I even arrive at work with time to spare. And then – strictly according to the schedule.
On the eve of the holiday, the director of the branch "Automotive Enterprise No. 14" of OJSC "Vitebskoblavtotrans", Mikhail Kazimirchik, congratulated the team:
— I can only say the kindest words about the employees of our enterprise. Everyone works cohesively and responsibly, and our drivers are true professionals. Their work often goes unnoticed, but drivers often have to be on the line by half past five, and then deliver passengers or cargo to their destination on time and safely.
I cannot fail to say kind words also to the employees of our bus station, who also contribute to the development of the enterprise.
On the eve of the holiday, we would like to congratulate the entire team of our branch, the enterprise veterans, and wish everyone health, well-being, as well as smooth and safe roads!
