On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Soldiers-Internationalists, it is traditional in our district to visit mothers whose sons did not return home alive while fulfilling their international duty.

Just a few years ago, on February 15th, we visited mothers at several addresses. Now, only one... Today, internationalist soldiers, together with the chairman of the district organization of the Belarusian Union of Afghan War Veterans, Sergey Krivel, as well as representatives of the Social Service Center of Lepel District, the Military Commissariat of Lepel and Ushachi Districts, visited Raisa Prokhorevich.

Upon meeting, the woman immediately teared up, recalling the pain, and then began to share the latest news with her guests.

— I pray every day for peace on our land, so that our children and grandchildren do not have to take up arms. We must appreciate what we have, — says Raisa Fyodorovna with tears in her eyes.

On the eve of the commemorative date, the mother also received financial assistance from the district budget.
