37 higher education institutions of Belarus are participating in the project "My Lifestyle Today – My Health and Success Tomorrow," as reported to journalists by the Deputy Minister of Health – Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Belarus, Natalya Zhukova, according to a BELTA correspondent.

The aforementioned preventive project was solemnly launched at the Academy of Management under the President of Belarus. Thus, the academy became the 37th higher education institution in the country to join this initiative. Currently, mainly higher education institutions in Minsk are involved – 29 universities are participating in the project here, including Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.

"We are very pleased that the Academy under the President has joined this initiative. It is important that from the first year, students will learn the basics of health-saving behaviour – this includes proper nutrition, physical activity, and study schedules. This will help preserve health for many years to come," said Natalya Zhukova. She added that issues of health preservation are always relevant and important both from the perspective of healthcare and the economy.

The Rector of the Academy of Management, Marat Zhilinsky, noted that the project has gained considerable traction in the country. It is particularly important for future managers because they lead active, busy lives. The academy plans to improve its menu to best meet the requirements of a healthy lifestyle. Specialists from the Ministry of Health will be involved in this work.

The project "My Lifestyle Today – My Health and Success Tomorrow" is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education aimed at fostering a commitment to a healthy lifestyle among students. The project has been successfully implemented in Minsk for three years. Its main objective is to teach students how to lead a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition. This involves weekly consultations on dietary correction and a specially designed menu in the student canteen. This year, the Ministries of Health and Education decided to launch the project at the national level.

As part of the opening ceremony of the preventive project at the academy, a promotional event by the sanitary and epidemiological services of Belarus and Minsk, a tasting of dietary food, and a presentation of products from manufacturers of medical drugs and equipment took place.
