A presentation of the book "Genocide of the Belarusian People. Death Camps," prepared by the "Belarus" publishing house in conjunction with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus with the support of the Ministry of Information, was held at the district library.

The presentation was attended by Vitaly Zhigimont, Prosecutor of Lepel District, Elena Borodeiko, Head of the Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, Alina Stelmakh, Director of the District Museum of Local Lore, Andrey Pukhalsky, Military Commissar of Lepel and Ushachi Districts, and Elena Mozgo, Director of the Centralized Library System.

The book "Genocide of the Belarusian People. Death Camps" presents new and previously unknown information to the general public about death camps on the territory of the BSSR during the Nazi occupation. It includes materials from a criminal case on the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period, as well as information from the works of domestic and foreign scientists.

The book, with a volume of 34 publication units, spans 336 pages. It is published in parallel in Russian and English. The print run is 3000 copies. The book was released at the end of December 2022. However, within a month and a half, the entire print run was sold by the publisher. Currently, in agreement with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, a second print run of 4000 copies is being prepared for publication.
