The Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus pays great attention to children by participating in the standing charity event "Trade Unions for Children". This event has been running since 2002, but interest in it does not wane, and the amount of financial support grows every year. The most pleasant, cheerful, and memorable meetings take place, of course, in the pre-New Year days, when children await a holiday and a miracle.

Every year, the district trade union association of Lepel region, including primary trade union organisations of work collectives, takes an active part in the charity event. For example, recently, activists from the primary organisations of the communal unitary production enterprise "Borovka", as well as the Lepel district organisation of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, hurried to congratulate the young residents of our district on the upcoming holidays. Representatives of the trade union movement unexpectedly visited the children and presented them with sweet gifts.
It should be noted that the list of toddlers and children who have received or will receive gifts includes children who, for various reasons, have not received New Year's surprises at their parents' workplaces.
During the period of the "Trade Unions for Children" event, it is planned to congratulate 29 young residents of our district.
