The event was attended by the author's niece, Svetlana Eduardovna, and Gennady Vasilyevich Malakhov, who spoke about the author.
Anatoly Nikolaevich Sorokin (pre-war surname – Soroka) was born on November 9, 1934, in Lepel. He dreamed of the sea and the sky, which attracted him with their blueness and white-winged clouds. The romance of Belarusian blue led him at the age of 19 to the Military Aviation School, which trained naval pilots.
At the age of 36, together with his family, he was assigned to the Transbaikal Military District as the chief of staff of a separate military unit. By the will of fate, he had to protect the blue, rather than fly in the celestial blue…
In his hands, there were always a pencil, sheets of paper, and a desire to depict the beauty of nature he saw, either in his photographs or on an easel…
An exhibition by Anatoly Sorokin titled "Inspiration from Nature" opened at the district library.
