The "Belarusian Association of the Visually Impaired" Public Association (PA "BelTIZ") will hold a republican sports and tourism rally from June 21-23, according to BELTA.

The "Belarusian Association of the Visually Impaired" Public Association (PA "BelTIZ") will hold a republican sports and tourism rally from June 21-23, according to BELTA.

The rally will be attended by 16 teams of 13 people each, aged 18 and over. These teams will include representatives from regional organisations, unitary enterprises of PA "BelTIZ", as well as combined teams consisting of visually impaired individuals of the first and second groups and sighted people. The programme includes competitions in general physical fitness and overcoming a tourist obstacle course, a master class, a sports festival, a disco, and a "Song by the Campfire" contest.

The aim of the rally is the sports rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired people, the promotion of tourism, the organisation of active recreation, communication, and the advocacy of a healthy lifestyle among the visually impaired.

The event will be held at the "Vedritsa" recreation centre of the unitary enterprise "Svetopribor" of PA "BelTIZ" (Cherven District, Minsk Region) with the support of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, the Republican Educational and Methodological Centre for Physical Education of the Population, and the State Institution "BelSportObezpechenie".
