As a result of the passage of cyclone "Titan", during which wind gusts reached 35 m/s, there was a mass falling of trees on the territory of kindergarten No. 6 in Lepel, located at Voykova Street.

As a result of falling trees, the kindergarten was de-energised, and power transmission lines were damaged. This led to a fire in the building. The restoration of the kindergarten's power supply is not expected before 74 hours. The situation is complicated by a sharp cold snap. The air temperature at this time reached -25°C.

Fortunately, all of the above is a legend. Today, tactical special exercises were held at the preschool institution to prevent and eliminate emergencies.

Before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, the facility's staff organised the evacuation of children and personnel. However, two "victims" remained in the building.

The arriving Ministry of Emergency Situations units promptly contained and extinguished the fire, conducted reconnaissance in all rooms of the building, and located and evacuated the victims from the danger zone. Medics immediately provided them with the necessary assistance.

Why was this facility chosen for the exercises? Children are the most precious thing parents have! The task of adults is to ensure them a bright and carefree childhood, protect them from dangers, and teach them how to behave competently in an emergency situation.

All necessary district services were involved in the elimination of the simulated situation, acting quickly, clearly, and in a coordinated manner – extinguishing the fire, carrying out the victims, and providing them with first aid.

Law enforcement officers cordoned off the site of the emergency work and organised traffic control. Employees of KUPP "Borovka" ensured the arrival of engineering equipment at the emergency site – an aerial platform based on a ZIL-131, as well as employees with chainsaws. The emergency crew of the Lepel District Electric Networks carried out work to restore the power supply.

Based on the results, participants were assessed, and promising directions for further development and maintenance of interaction between district services were identified. A joint analysis and detailed review of actions were conducted.

"The exercises were conducted in conditions as close as possible to real ones. After all, practical training of such scenarios allows us to further coordinate the interaction and coherence of actions of all services. The result gives us confidence that, if necessary, we will have an effective operation organised to eliminate the emergency," summarised the Head of the Department of Emergency Situations, Ivan Maskalkov. "All actions were performed in accordance with the developed instructions."
