In Rossony (Vitebsk region), a battle of 1942 for the liberation of the urban-type settlement will be reconstructed, as reported to a BELTA correspondent at the Rossony District Executive Committee.

The event, scheduled for September 23rd, will be the central feature of a celebration dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Rossony from the Nazi invaders. The theatrical performance is being prepared by members of the Vitebsk Regional Association of Military Historical Reconstruction "Comrades in Arms". It is expected that over 60 people will be involved.

On the same day, interactive platforms for the historical reconstruction of Red Army weaponry and uniforms from the Great Patriotic War era will be operational. They will be set up on Komsomolskaya Street, on the territory adjacent to the manor house of Mr. Glasko. The District Centre of Culture and Folk Art has prepared a thematic programme "In War, as in War...", and the district's museums will present thematic exhibitions. Trade stalls offering a variety of products from the district's enterprises will be open for guests.

"Rossony was liberated from the Nazi invaders on September 19, 1942, as a result of active combat operations by partisans. For every resident of our community, this is an important and memorable date, which is why a significant number of both adults and young people traditionally participate in the festive events dedicated to it," the District Executive Committee emphasised.
