In Rossony, Vitebsk region, a son killed his father for insults, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus for Vitebsk region, Inna Gorbacheva, told a BELTA correspondent. On the night of November 27-28, a pensioner born in 1951 and his 41-year-old son started arguing after drinking alcohol together. When words were no longer enough to sort things out, fists came into play. Moreover, it was the son who actively used the latter "argument". After the fight, he put his beaten father on the bed, and fell asleep himself. In the morning, finding his father dead, he called his mother, who lived separately. The woman called an ambulance and the police. Subsequently, the man explained his aggressive actions to law enforcement officers by saying that he simply wanted to stop the stream of insults directed at him in this way. A criminal case has been initiated against a resident of Rossony under Part 3 of Article 147 of the Criminal Code of Belarus for intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, which negligently caused the death of the victim. This article provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment. Currently, a number of examinations have been appointed regarding this fact, and investigative actions are being carried out, noted Inna Gorbacheva, adding that loud conflicts with the use of violence due to alcohol consumption had been noted in this family before. -0-
