A one-and-a-half-month-old baby died in a crib fire in Shumilino district, the press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Marina Fando, told a BELTA correspondent. At 8:24 AM today, the Shumilino District Department for Emergency Situations received a report of an incident in an apartment in the village of Nikiticha. It turned out that the daughter had come to visit her mother with her 1.5-month-old child. At the time of the fire, the apartment owner and her son were at work. The child's mother, her sister, and children were in the house. When the woman entered the room, she found the child on fire in the crib. Only a part of the crib was damaged by the fire. The sister ran in at the cries and doused the flames with water. It was no longer possible to save the child's life. The cause of the fire is being established. -0-
