In accordance with the organizational and methodological guidelines for the functioning of the Vitebsk territorial subsystem of the State Civil Protection System for 2017, on March 15-16, the Lepel district was visited by Elena Leonidovna Levitskaya, a leading specialist of the organizational support department of the Vitebsk Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
In accordance with the organizational and methodological guidelines for the functioning of the Vitebsk territorial subsystem of the State Civil Protection System for 2017, on March 15-16, Elena Leonidovna Levitskaya, a leading specialist of the organizational support department of the Vitebsk Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, visited the Lepel district. During the visit, a tactical special exercise was conducted on the actions of the forces and means of the district level of the territorial subsystem in case of emergencies related to the spring flood. The following were involved in the exercise: the operational group of the Emergency Situations Commission of the District Executive Committee, the situation headquarters for managing the elimination of emergency situations in the district, the District Department of Emergency Situations, the District Department of Internal Affairs, the District Electric Networks, the District Radio and Electronic Communications Department, medical personnel, and other representatives of organizations involved in the elimination of flood-related emergencies. During the exercise, practical training was conducted on the actions of the district's emergency services, an assessment was made of the level of preparedness of the district's forces and means to solve practical tasks of collecting and processing information, providing substantiated proposals for organizing the protection of the population and territories during the elimination of emergency situations in the conditions of the spring flood, and the organization of the situation headquarters' work was analyzed.
Also, as part of the preparation for the upcoming spring-summer fire hazardous period, E.L. Levitskaya held a meeting with employees of SPF "Zaozerie," during which information on fires in the republic, region, and district was provided. A discussion was held on the issue of preventing the burning of post-harvest residues in fields and dry vegetation. The rules for safe burning of garbage and dry vegetation, lighting fires, as well as responsibility for non-compliance with these rules were explained. At the end of the presentation, the employees were shown the film "The Danger of Burning Dry Vegetation."
